The 2025 season of Local Sea Canoeing Competitions on Terceira Island will be marked by several innovations, including the creation of the Island Championship, made up of three stages, and the introduction of two controls throughout the season, with the aim of gauging the level of preparation and the effectiveness of the athletes' training planning. The events will be organised by the 𝐀𝐑𝐂𝐀 (Azores Regional Canoeing Association), the 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚 𝐈𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛𝐞, the 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛𝐞 𝐀𝐫 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐚 𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐫𝐚 and the 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛𝐞 𝐍á𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐨 𝐝𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚 𝐝𝐨 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐨í𝐬𝐦𝐨.
