José Correia Guedes will be in Horta, at the Casa Manuel de Arriaga, to present his book. In this work, the former TAP Commander revisits the tragic day of February 22, 1943, when Pan American’s Boeing 314 Yankee Clipper plunged into the Tagus River, and imagines the story of a Portuguese pilot who—if he did not exist—could very well have existed. The book explores one of the most extraordinary aircraft in aviation history, the Yankee Clipper, which plays a central role in this novel based on real events.

For this event, which features the presence of the author, includes remarks by Dr. Fernando Faria Ribeiro, and will be moderated by Dr. Marla Pinheiro, everyone is invited!
