As part of the 3rd Stage of the Azores Regional Sailing Championship, the Povoação Naval Club is organizing a clean-up of the coastal area of Vila da Povoação.

This initiative is included in the official event program and is carried out in partnership with SPEA Azores – Priolo Environmental Centre, the Municipality of Povoação, the Parish Council of Povoação, and the Professional School Monsenhor João Maurício de Amaral Ferreira, reinforcing a shared commitment to environmental protection and the enhancement of natural heritage.

More than a symbolic gesture, this action aims to raise community awareness about the importance of protecting marine and coastal ecosystems, promoting sustainable practices and active citizenship.

The Povoação Naval Club invites the entire community and all athletes to join this initiative, contributing to a cleaner and healthier coastline. Everyone’s participation is essential to the success of this action.
