The exhibition ‘’Dá Um Passo E Abraça a Diferença‘’ (Take a Step and Embrace the Difference), by the students of Escola1/JI Madre Teresa D'Anunciada (Ribeira Grande), will feature works of art that attempt to describe some of the consequences associated with bullying. These include sadness, low self-esteem, isolation, loneliness and inhibition, among others. There are also colourful pieces that reflect joy and friendship. Others symbolise indifference and the need to ‘break’ the silence in the face of occasional violence or continuous and intentional aggressive behaviour.

Visitors will also be able to appreciate the ‘x-ray’ that the students have made of their own feelings or thoughts!
