Part of the Ponta Delgada 2026 – Portuguese Capital of Culture, the Dramatized Readings project launches a series dedicated to the encounter between Azorean literature and theatrical expression.

Curated and led by Margarida Pereira Benevides, the initiative presents nine monthly staged readings of texts by regional authors throughout 2026, hosted at Mercado Negro, door 18.

Each session will last approximately one and a half hours and will be supported by the Teatro Escondido, bringing together different performers and theatrical approaches.
