XVII Study Weeks of the Azorean Institute of Culture

(E/I)Migrations – Territories in Transit, Identities in Construction

Between February and March 2026, the Azorean Institute of Culture will host a new edition of the Study Weeks — a space for debate and reflection on the challenges of the contemporary world.

This edition focuses on migrations: the movement of people, ideas, and cultures that shape today’s identities.

🔹 São Miguel – Emigration

🔹 Faial – Migration

Academics, specialists, and institutional representatives will come together to discuss topics such as migrant integration, interculturality, and the demographic challenges of our time.

An initiative of the IAC with the support of the Government of the Azores and SATA Air Açores. The partner institutions also include the Municipality of Angra do Heroísmo, the Carlos Machado Museum, and the João José da Graça Public Library and Regional Archive.
