The BPARLSR is hosting a conversation with writer Diniz Borges on March 3 at 6:30 p.m., in the library’s auditorium.

Diniz Borges was born in Praia da Vitória and has lived in the United States since the age of ten. He dedicated his career to teaching Portuguese language and culture to high‑school students, developing projects that highlight the values of Azorean communities within American society. His work explores themes such as the experience of emigration, American cultural diversity, and Azorean cultural heritage. In addition to his intellectual production, he collaborates with the local press, strengthening dialogue between diaspora communities and the islands.
