The exhibition invites visitors to go behind the scenes of ceramic art and explore how glazes are created, from raw materials to finished surfaces. The manufacture of glazes, often seen as mysterious or highly technical, is revealed here as a fascinating blend of chemistry, experimentation and artistic decision-making. The exhibition is organised into three interconnected sections. The first presents the fundamentals of glaze formulation. The second focuses on experimentation and testing. The final section shows the results of this process through finished ceramic pieces.
