To celebrate Grandparents' Day, OMIC is promoting the event "Grandparents exploring the MICROUNIVERSE" on the 26th of July, with a guided tour of the Centre's exhibitions. This event aims to promote the importance of microbial living beings on planet Earth, emphasising the microbial diversity associated with the Furnas Hot Springs ecosystem.

This initiative aims to increase the scientific literacy of the local senior public.
