Robert Hooke, born on July 18, 1635, became famous for publishing the work “Micrographia” in 1665. The book features highly detailed scientific illustrations, including molds and yeasts, and famously introduced the term "cell" after he analyzed pieces of cork.
To mark this scientist's lasting contribution, OMIC is hosting a temporary exhibition from July 13th to 17th titled “Robert Hooke: the curiosity that transformed science.” The display aims to highlight his pivotal role in the advancement of scientific discovery.
