As part of the Habitat Programme for the 10th edition of the Eco Festival Azores Burning Summer, in a partnership between the Observatório do Mar dos Açores (OMA) and the OKEANOS/UAÇ Institute, educational activities will be held with the ATLS Network in Ribeira Grande and Lagoa, with the aim of increasing Ocean Literacy among local communities, especially with regard to knowledge about the commercial fish species of the Azores, as well as the sustainability of fishing and responsible consumption, with a total of around 250 children and young people expected to be involved.
