The Women's Choir of the Island is an artistic and community project that finds in singing a way to strengthen belonging, solidarity, and collective memory.
The repertoire will be built from traditional Azorean songs, music brought by the participants, and family musical memories.
Conductor Vânia Couto will develop original arrangements in collaboration with the group, valuing the stories, experiences, and creative abilities of each woman.
